Schools are invited to join this MinimalMouse on-line league by setting up a club within KS3 or KS4 groups and customising the basic buggy with its LED and LDR sensors to make it more efficient. As long as the modifications are within the rules set out for the competition then alterations are encouraged. However many successful entrants have made their designs very close to the standard design and groups should not find their entries are heavily disadvantaged by sticking to the ‘KISS’ approach.
SetPoint Dorset and Winton Arts & Media College in Bournemouth have teamed up to give everyone the opportunity to enter teams, develop their designs and compete in a 1-day event to be held in the Spring Term. ‘Aim-Higher’ is sponsoring the event. Before the ‘Big Day’ you can submit your results - verified by teachers in your school - and try to top the leagues.
