Otl Aicher has changed the way we look at recent typefaces. The Lufthansa logo and lettering literally went around the world and his focus on communication through the use of pictograms has left a legacy of corporate imagery which uses this means of simple association.
Aicher designed the symbols used for the first time at the Munich Olympics and which have been redesigned at each subsequent Olympics by many others.
